What is StreamWP?

StreamWP is a WordPress plugin that embeds live streaming content from multiple platforms (Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick, Rumble) into your WordPress website using shortcodes, Gutenberg blocks, or PHP functions.

Method 1: WordPress Admin

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for “StreamWP”
  3. Click Install NowActivate

Method 2: Manual Upload

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Select the ZIP file and click Install Now

 

For Twitch:

  1. Visit dev.twitch.tv/console
  2. Click Register Your Application
  3. Set OAuth Redirect URL to your site’s admin URL
  4. Copy Client ID and Client Secret to StreamWP settings

For YouTube:

  1. Go to Google Cloud Console
  2. Enable YouTube Data API v3
  3. Create credentials (API Key)
  4. Enter API key in StreamWP settings
  • Navigate to Settings → StreamWP
  • Click Run Setup Wizard
  • Follow the 4-step process:
    • Welcome & requirements check
    • API credential configuration
    • Connection testing
    • Default settings configuration
